How the Daily Quiz works

What is the Daily Quiz?
A free daily trivia quiz: ten questions, the same for everyone, played solo against the clock. A new quiz lands every day at midnight UTC, and the leaderboard starts again with it.
When does a new quiz come out?
Midnight UTC every day: 1am in the UK in summer, midnight in winter, and the evening before across the Americas. The countdown on this page shows how long is left on today's.
How is it scored?
100 points for a right answer and up to 100 more for answering fast. The quicker you are, the bigger the bonus.
Can I play more than once?
One go per day on each device. Share your squares, then come back tomorrow for the next one. Want more than one a day? Start a huddle and play as many rounds as you like with friends.
How do streaks work?
Play on consecutive days and your streak grows by one each day. Miss a day and it starts again from one. The streak lives on your device, so keep playing on the same phone or browser.
What are the squares?
One square per question: green for right, red for wrong. They show how your run went without giving the answers away, so you can post them in the group chat and dare your friends to beat you.
Do I need an account or an app?
No. It runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or laptop, with nothing to install and no sign-up. Add your name if you want to appear on the leaderboard, or play anonymously.
